Larry Bumb

Head Coach

Bio:

Coach Bumb has been the head coach for the FHHC since 2017.

He started coaching back in 1994 and through out his career has coached at several different high schools, several select and Central State teams, and St. Peter’s teams.

As a player, Coach Bumb played for DeSmet Jesuit as well as Delta Hockey, Meramec Sharks, West County Flyers, and the St. Louis Hockey Club.

In addition to his involvement with the FHHC, Coach Bumb actively serves as a board member for St. Peter’s Hockey board,  Missouri Hockey Youth board, and the St. Louis Sting Hockey board.

Doug Raines

Associate Head Coach

Bio:

Coach Raines has been coaching with Francis Howell for the past 4 years, including the last two seasons as Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team.

He has been coaching sports for the last 20+ years and credits the other coaches that have help mentor him along the way. 

"I’m passionate about making each player the best that they can be and enjoy the sport they play," says Coach Raines. "Respect the game, respect the officials, respect the other team, respect your coaches and thank and respect your parents."

Outside of hockey, Coach Raines has 30-plus years in the fire service, where he currently holds the rank of Captain. 

Coach Raines and his wife, Heather, have three children: Mackenzie, Hannah and Ethan.


Matthew Heering

Assistant Coach

Bio:

Coach Heering grew up playing hockey in the St. Louis area.  He played Central States until he moved to Switzerland where he played on Forward Morges HC U20 Junior team until he was 18.

Coach Heering is a Biology teacher at Francis Howell.

Ryan Farber

Assistant Coach

Bio:

Coach Farber is a Francis Howell Viking alum and is in his first year coaching for FHHC.

Outside of the rink, Coach Farber has been a successful realtor in the St. Louis market, leading the Ryan Farber Real Estate Group.

Bill Lindhorst

Assistant Coach

Bio:

Coach Lindhorst has been coaching hockey for the past 11 seasons, first at the club and now the high school level.

He has been active with FHHC for the past three seasons, working with all of the club teams.

Off the rink, Coach Lindhorst is a founding co-owner of Five Star Electric in OFallon.
