Ice Hockey

Francis Howell fields teams at the Varsity, JV and B level each season, providing players of all levels the opportunity to compete for and represent their high school. The Francis Howell Hockey Club is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to provide high school hockey opportunities to 7th – 12th grade students who reside within the Francis Howell High School district.  Though Francis Howell Hockey Club is a non-school sponsored club, it plays under the Vikings name and logo and conducts itself in a manner that reflects positively upon the Francis Howell High School.

Ages

Players 9th grade through 12th grade are eligible to play Varsity and JV. Players 8th grade are eligible for B-team. Players in 7th grade are eligible for B-team as long as they are also meet the age requirements to be 14U Bantams in youth hockey.

The Varsity/JV seasons begin with practices in early September and run through the playoffs in February. B team practices will begin the first week of November and conclude in March.

Where

Practices are typically held at the St. Peters RecPlex and the Wentzville Ice Arena.

High school players can expect to practice at least twice a week. Middle School players will practice just once a week.

REGISTRATION HELP

We have expanded the registration options this year to help with administration of Hollywood Casino Fundraising payouts, including the Summer Skate fees as an option and to reduce the number of times you have to register for different Francis Howell programs. We hope this helps.

When you select the registration page, you will see several options. First, if you are volunteering at Hollywood Casino, you will have one set of options, if you are not, there are another set of options. You will then need to determine if your player is returning or new. Anyone who was registered last year as a freshman or older is returning. If you played as an 8th grader on the B team and will be playing this year as a freshman, or have not yet played for FH, you are new. Finally, your position. Goalies and skaters are separate. If you have any challenges, just let us know and we can help!
