Vikings battle to victory against Timberland

A hotly contested game finally swung Francis Howell's way late in the third period when Junior Brayden Brandhorst's goal broke a 1-1 tie, giving the Vikings the victory with just :25 left in the game, 

After taking a 1-0 lead with 9:45 left in the first period on a Charlie Jackson goal, the Vikings played a seesaw contest with Timberland.  A breakaway goal for the Wolves tied the game at 1-1 with 11:46 left in the middle period. 

Junior Assistant Captain Jonas Blankenship assisted on both Viking's goals while Senior Jack Finch turned away 17 of the 18 shots he faced. 

Francis Howell improves to 3-0-0, Timberland is now 1-2-1. The two teams will meet again Saturday at the St. Peters Rec Plex.  Game time is 6:15 pm
