Vikings fall to Marquette 2-0
Sometimes the puck just finds its way into the net.
A high, wide shot, left of the Vikings net as time expired in the second period, took a weird bounce landing right in front of the goal and off the skate of a group of players, into the back of the goal giving Marquette the 1-0 lead. The visitor's tally marked the first goal surrendered by Senior Easton Bristow in the 2025 season.
Howell kept up the pressure throughout the final period, pulling Bristow from the net late in the third period, but could not solve the opposing net minder. Marquette added a late, third period empty net goal to end the scoring, and the game, at 2-0.
Francis Howell (8-1-0) will continue it season Monday night as they travel to Queeny Park to take on Ladue (6-4-0) at 6:30pm.
