Vikings roll past Zumwalt North, 7-0
The Francis Howell Vikings put an exclamation mark on their win Monday night against the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers behind another shutout performance from Senior Easton Bristow and a four-goal night by Senior Keanean Bahm as the Vikings rolled to a 7-0 victory!
Senior Assistant Captain Sean Gilmore opened the scoring, slipping the puck into the net for the game-winning goal just 2:16 into the first period. Freshman Mason Land picked up the assist for a 1-0 lead.
Bahm scored the first of his four goals with 5:18 left in the first, assisted by Senior's Nick Trankler and Danny Del Vecchio. Howell led at the end of the period 2-0.
The Viking's offense really got going in the second period. Junior Michael Land scored 5:52 into the middle frame and it was goaltender Easton Bristow picking up the assist and it was 3-0.
Junior Brayden Brandhorst, assisted by Land and Junior Charlie Jackson put Howell up 4-0 with a power play goal with 7:41 left in the period. Bahm added his second of the game just over a minute later, assisted by Trankler, and the rout was on, 5-0 Francis Howell.
Bahm scored again in the period, this time assisted by Assistant Captain Jonas Blankenship with 2:18 left in the period, 6-0 Vikings.
Bahm capped off the game with his fourth goal of the game with 9:45 left, the Vikings second power play goal of the night, for a 7-0 lead. Junior Colton Johnson and Del Vecchio added assists.
Francis Howell (14-5-0) will finish it's regular season with a cross district rivalry game against Francis Howell Central at 8 pm Saturday night at the Rec Plex.
